Writing Prompt – Doll Prophecy

It’s time for another of my original prompts. This was was fun to make and pretty much ridiculous. I didn’t really have a big goal in mind and just wanted to have fun. With this prompt, I think I accomplished that.

There are all sorts of stories centered around prophecies, so I thought I would make one of my own. Many of those prophecies seem to center around some sort of chosen one, so I went with that. What could the chosen one be chosen to do? It had to be something silly or it wouldn’t fit the tone I was going for and thus this prompt was born.

There isn’t much to it, but I think the right person could really enjoy working with this prophecy. Maybe that right person is you. If you think it is, definitely have fun with it and let me know, because I’d love to see what you did with it. I want to know why the doll needs saving, too.

As I said above, I didn’t really have anything specific in mind when I wrote this prompt except to have some fun with it, so I don’t have much I can say about the idea more than I already have. There could be a prophecy story out there involving a doll, but I’ve never heard of one, so what could make a chosen one come about just to save a doll.

How does a doll merit saving in the first place? Is the doll a real doll, a person turned into a doll, or something else entirely? Will the chosen one willingly save this doll or will this be something the chosen one has to be talked into or otherwise convinced?

I think there are a lot of potential ideas to go with this. How about you? What would you do with this sort of idea?
